The course

Ron Garl built a spacious, player friendly championship course with five tee sets and one unusual feature that sets it apart. The routing runs in four loops that each return to the clubhouse, so you are never far from the turn, the grill, or your cart. Fairways are generous, conditions are well kept, and the club is proud of one of the fastest pace of play records in the area.

How to play it and how to join

Caloosa is member owned and member governed. You must be a member to book a tee time. The club offers an easy trial membership so you can play before you commit, and couples or individuals at least 30 years old are eligible to join. It is not for profit and debt free, which keeps dues honest.

Leagues, tournaments, and social

Caloosa runs club tournaments for men, women, couples, and teams throughout the year, with organized informal games most days and teaching pros for lessons. The social calendar includes dinner and dance parties, a bridge club, karaoke, and golf scrambles, plus a banquet room members can rent.

Best time to play

Season runs November through April and books up with snowbirds, so join or start a trial before you arrive. Mornings are best year round, and the four loop routing makes a quick nine easy any time.
