Pennsylvania does not tax Social Security, pensions, or retirement-account withdrawals for retirees, so don't move expecting an income-tax windfall. We'd rather tell you that up front. The honest wins are climate, no Florida inheritance tax (Pennsylvania still charges one on bequests to non-spouses), and lower year-round home carrying costs.
